PODCAST's & SCREENCAST's

Well, this is a skill I haven't yet mastered. One of my Library hero's going to come and help me download programs to open the files I want to download. I have put this one off as it hasn't been easy (yes, I said the bad word) and time has not allowed more exploration. I am going on to the next steps until my hero arrives. I will get the hang of the "un-easy" part of this as I have tenacity and will not give up.

Keeping track of all the AURTHINGS assignment has become quite the challenge. I now have an AOL, GMail, Yahoo, FLIKR, Twitter, YouTube, PBASE, and I don't know how many more accounts. I set up a WIKI account but can't get into it (so much for keeping track of my family activities). I have been having fun with Facebook though I haven't been participating in any of the activities as I don't need to become addicted to farming, ughh!!!. I had never been into YOUTUBE until this assignment and realized there are a ton of things to explore. Can't wait to try out the new assignments and get to "Denise's" time to play. This is truly the learning experience of a lifetime. Enjoy my YOUTUBE video, I surely did!!! H

Facebook, what an experience. I had my facebook account for a couple of months and never really have time to play. I get updates on my phone from friends and family and it is a great way to stay in touch with people you don't see very often. One of the things I like best is catching my kids posts as they don't always tell me whats going on but I can see when they have a great or not so great day. I have reconnected with family and old friends. It is a blast, I just wish I had more time.

I picked Mary Kay business groups to help my business grow. Sometimes new idea's come from all different places. I will need more time to explore all of the options available on Facebook. I know that several of my friends are hooked on farming. I think I'll skip that one, cuz I don't need to be addicted to anything like that.

I am enjoying my RSS feeds especially the Aurthing's one as it gives great resources on how to use the things we are learning. Some of our participants are truly amazing!!!!

Setting up RSS feeds seemed complicated at first but once I got started it really wasn't that hard. As I watch to see which feeds give me the most pertinent information I'll add more or delete the ones that aren't useful. Nice to be able to sellect the news/information you recieve. Busy times mean it's important your inbox isn't full of stuff. Thanks for sharing these tools to help streamline my life. :-)
